The Brief

South Africa’s Wind Energy Association Conference and exhibition,
Windaba, briefed Black Wolf to create an informative and engaging
social media campaign leading up to the annual event hosted at the Cape Town Convention Centre.

The campaign needed to inspire and reposition the wind energy event with fresh ideas which would support repositioning efforts and drive interest toward sponsorship, government and public appeal.

Every year the conference brings together over 500+ delegates and industry exhibitors to ensure a strengthened African wind industry, and aid in strategic decision making. The challenge for us was to create a campaign that spoke into the various sectors and inspired them to come.

After a deep dive into the industry environment and after interviewing key stakeholders, we knew that our communication strategy needed to include relatable pieces that educated and inspired. We strategised a thoughtful campaign that took a holistic look at the energy sector and created content that educated, inspired and motivated the various audience profiles to engage and get involved in this event.‘Wind is Power’ was selected to lead our creative executions.
