Voted as the ‘coolest’ petrol station for the 13th year in a row, Engen is an African-based oil company that has cemented itself in the hearts and minds of South Africans.
With the annual Electra Mining Africa 2022-2023 exhibition fast approaching, Engen SA saw the biggest mining event of the year as the perfect opportunity to showcase their brand, mining solution services and lubricant products, in ways that would mark a lasting positive impression on customers. Challenged with only a 3 week lead time, they turned to Black Wolf Agency to answer the call and assist in meeting their desired goals.

The Strategy
Black Wolf created a through the line campaign under the overarching theme of sustainability which in turn appealed to Engen’s current positioning in the market that consists of people, profit and planet.
The theme was translated across the selected online and offline channels such as social media and print. A bespoke augmented reality experience was developed to support brand recall and engagement. Our team further created evergreen video content for current and future events. As part of our performance, we were able to gather primary data collected through surveys for B2B lead generation.
The Outcome
To ensure that Engen brand activation was one to remember at the Electra Mining Africa event, we had
