The Brief

Engen briefed Black Wolf to come up with an end of year brand activation that would echo Engen’s powerful strapline into the hearts and minds of its staff. We set out to activate a world-class brand event which catered to the diverse age groups and cultures at Engen, and reflected a true appreciation for all the work done by the staff.

To create a memorable event for the diverse audience that make up team Engen, a staff of 1000 from all departments based in Cape Town, in under three weeks.

The Plan

Team Engen

Our aim was to create a theme that would bring to life Engen’s core message and create a strong sense of pride and community for Team Engen. Inspired by Engen’s brand colours we came up with a nautical theme based on the premise: “We’re one vessel navigating a common vision.” A concept that would appeal to all, while creating a strong brand presence. This theme was further brought to life at the event with a “Best in the Bizz” message.

The Black Wolf team was able to create an exciting brand experience for team Engen SA. It was the first time in our history as a company to combine all our department’s year-end function into a single experience. The complexity and volume of logistics were managed superbly and all our teams had a fabulous time.
