The Brief

Preparing to debut a new product in a new market can be a daunting task for any business owner. For Indian-based company, Societe Generale, their new e-commerce app – CashBerry Business made its way across the ocean to help merchants create an online store for free.

The problem was breaking into the market blind, with zero insight and technical know-how of South Africa. CashBerry Business needed a creative agency that was well versed in the South African market and of course, we were very happy to oblige.

We had three tasks:

1) Launch the CashBerry Business app into the market.

2) Stimulate in-app engagement.
3) Drive downloads to the business solutions e-commerce app.

The Strategy

Simple. Connect with solopreneurs plus food store owners across the country and win back users who were no longer active on the app. To grab these merchants’ attention online, we implemented a re-engagement campaign to rekindle their interest by reminding them of the benefits that the CashBerry Business App adds to their lives.

Based on in-depth market research and real-time data, our team of creative strategists developed personas which informed content creation. Then we used these insights to produce compelling messaging and visuals that were tailored to appeal to their audience base.

The Outcome

The numbers don’t lie. Over 12 000 downloads in the first 120 days. More than 2 000 registered users. Reached over 30 000 people on social media.
